Faculty Institute
- Designed for new faculty or faculty who have not taught a remote/ online course with a commitment of approximately 8-10 hours across 3 weeks
- Using a flipped classroom model where some content is delivered asynchronously and completed prior to synchronous sessions and synchronous sessions focus on application and designing a course
- A CatCourse site packed with resources for online teaching. All faculty should see the course on “Faculty Institute: Building Instructional Resilience” on their CatCourses dashboard (login through https://catcourses.ucmerced.edu/). If you don’t see the course on your dashboard, you can request access here.
- Offered in late fall for spring instruction, with a flexible schedule and participation – faculty can attend synchronous sessions that best serve their needs
