Preparing Research-Ready Final Projects

Recipients of the "Preparing Research-Ready Students" Certificate

Congratulations to: Kara Ayik, Heather Devrick, Cher Finley, Taryn Hakala, Tessa McIntire, Amy Moffat, Jeremy Mumford, and Kumar Sivakumaran

Recipients of the Certificate were required to: attend one 3-hour practicum and four 1-hour workshops, and complete a final project that included three components.

1) (pick one): a classroom or laboratory activity designed to prepare research-ready students; OR, a classroom or laboratory assignment designed to prepare research-ready students; OR, a proposal for a teaching as research project.

2) a working bibliography containing 6-8 scholarly and other sources on the topic of your activity, assignment, or proposal; the bibliography should be formatted according to the participant's disciplinary conventions.

3) a 250-word personal reflection about how participating in the certificate program has impacted your approach to teaching and/or research, including curriculum design, course delivery, and pedagogical approach, for a classroom or lab setting.
