Our Instructional Media team offers services for faculty and staff to create instructional or campus focused media. Our studios are located in the west side of the Library on the 3rd floor. From One-Button studios to green screen recording, Learning Glass and podcast recordings we can help you create professional media for your projects.

Looking to share your expertise, engage your students, or connect with the campus community? Our podcasting service makes it easy for faculty and staff to create professional-quality audio content. Whether you’re launching a course companion, hosting interviews, or exploring new ways to tell your story, we provide the tools, training, and support you need. Like the other instructional content we help with, Podcasts will be hosted on Kaltura.
From concept to publication, we’ll help you amplify your voice and reach your audience—on campus and beyond.

One-Button Studios
Located at the Teaching Commons in KL 350 and 352, the One-Button Studios are built to allow faculty to easily record instructional videos. Each studio has a camera, microphone, laptop hookup, sound dampening, and studio lights. After recording, videos are automatically uploaded to your Kaltura MyMedia accounts for easy sharing in CatCourses.
Learning Glass
The Learning Glass is a transparent lightboard that allows instructors to create visual demonstrations of concepts directly on the glass while maintaining face-to-face contact with the students. Instructors can easily illustrate their concepts or equations using colors for emphasis and contrast. Students feel more engaged when viewing these videos because the Learning Glass videos feel more personal, like a conversation rather than a lecture.

Green Screen
With the Green Screen, instructors can display background images and videos for a more visual and dynamic learning experience for the students. Instructors can easily illustrate their thoughts and concepts using visual images that appear on screen as the instructor is lecturing. This is very powerful and eye-catching as the student learns visual
