In May 2020, a faculty lead group worked to identify design principles and guidelines to support instructors as they transition from face-to-face instruction to hybrid or a fully remote course. With the uncertainty of the continued covid-19 impact on instruction at UC Merced, it is critical that we remain flexible and sensitive, demonstrating resilience to our students. To be used as a planning guide, the following template and guiding questions will help faculty work through transitioning a course designed for face-to-face instruction to a course delivered remotely or perhaps in a hybrid format.
